Vehicle victimized…again | Enumclaw police reports Aug. 12-14

MISCHIEF: A Charwila Lane resident told police Aug 14 a vehicle had been been victimized by malicious mischief the previous night. It was said to be the sixth such occurrence during the past three years. Extra patrol was requested.

WALLET RETURNED: An officer was contacted Aug. 14 about a wallet that had been found at Nolte State Park. The owner was notified and the wallet, which contained identification and cash, was returned.

BOX BASHING: Police responded at 11:20 p.m. Aug. 13 to a Warner Avenue address after hearing of people driving through the area and bashing mailboxes with a baseball bat. Police located and stopped the suspect vehicle. The driver was arrested; one passenger was arrested and taken to juvenile hall on felony warrants; two other juveniles were released to parents. The driver, after being taken to the police station for booking, was released to a parent.

PARAPHERNALIA: A request was made AUG. 13 for extra patrol of a city park on Porter Street, as city staff had found drug paraphernalia and needles around the property.

MEDS TAKEN: Police were told Aug. 13 that prescription medications had been taken from a Rincon Avenue residence. A report was filed.

HARASSMENT: An officer responded the evening of Aug. 13 to a Garrett Street address and the report of a female being harassed by a man who had been drinking. The suspect fled on foot when the officer arrived but was apprehended and taken into custody on an outstanding warrant.

HIT AND RUN: A Florence Street residence told police Aug. 12 of a hit-and-run incident that had caused damage to private landscaping and a street sign. Citations were to be sent in the mail upon completion of an investigation.

RECKLESS: Police responded the afternoon of Aug 12 after hearing of a reckless driver in the vicinity of Farman Street and Southeast 440th Street. An officer made contact with the suspect driver. A statement was taken and then forwarded to the Washington State Patrol, as all driving issues occurred on state Route 410 east of the city limits.
