The Washington State Liquor and Cannabis Board (WSLCB) Customer Service staff have seen a surge in inquiries about whether the agency will “re-open the marijuana licensing window.”

The Washington State Liquor and Cannabis Board (WSLCB) Customer Service staff have seen a surge in inquiries about whether the agency will “re-open the marijuana licensing window.”

Per the Cannabis Patient Protection Act (CPPA) this fall the Board (will) accept and process applications using the merit based criteria set forth in the law.

However, we are not presently accepting applications. As soon as it is available the Board will release requirements for licensure, including timelines and process. We expect to begin accepting applications sometime this fall.
