The White River Dollars for Scholars program awarded nearly $30,000 in scholarships last spring to White River School District graduates.

Organizers are planning for this year’s scholarship program and are turning to the public for financial assistance. The funds for these scholarships are comprised almost entirely from donations by local businesses, organizations and individuals.

Donations, which are tax deductible, can be made by:

• visiting www.whiteriver.dollarsforscholars.org and clicking the “Donate” button;

• sending a check to White River Dollars for Scholars, P.O. Box 609, Buckley, 98321.
