The White River Families First Coalition is seeking nominees for its 2014 Community Champion award.
The honor is passed out annually to an individual or group that:
• has made a powerful difference in the community without necessarily having the benefit of holding an office, title or position;
• has contributed to the health and well-being of the community’s youth and families;
• goes above and beyond what is expected of them – as a volunteer or in their professional role.
The nominee can be a student or an adult, a business or an organization. A requirement is that the nominee must serve within the boundaries of the White River School District.
Previous Community Champion Award recipients include Bob Thompson, Arrow Lumber and Hardware and Meri Kay Schiller in 2013; John McArtor, Ann Trullinger and the Village Tutors program (Bob Howie and Mark Thompson) in 2012; and John Justice, Diane Robinson and Kristi Shafer in 2011.
Nominations are due by Friday, April 18.
Nomination forms can be printed from the Coalition’s Facebook page.
