February 25th is the twentieth anniversary of World Spay Day, an annual campaign that focuses on the importance of spaying and neutering pets.

Animal welfare organizations, businesses, veterinary professionals, and individuals present World Spay Day to emphasize the importance of spay/neuter as an effective way of saving animals’ lives.  While World Spay Day officially falls on Tuesday, February 25, February is also Spay and Neuter Awareness Month – and we’re celebrating all month long!

Pasado’s Safe Haven, in Partnership with South County Cats and Regional Animal Services of King County, is excited to participate in this special event!

Pasado’s South King County Spay Station will be offering FREE microchips with each surgery (courtesy of Regional Animal Services of King County) for the entire month of February, in honor of World Spay Day.

On World Spay Day (February 25) in South King County, all cat and dog spays and neuters will cost only $10* (space is limited).  In addition, all cat surgeries for the entire month of February are only a $10* co-pay, courtesy of South County Cats (*for income-qualified south King county residents). Cat and dog spay/neuter is free* for residents living in zip code 98030, thanks to a grant from PetSmart Charities.

Your participation in this important event can make a huge difference for cats and dogs throughout Washington State, helping us fight pet overpopulation and saving countless lives.
