Barbara Ann Wigton went home to be with God on May 19, 2025, at the age of 75. She was welcomed into Heaven by her beloved parents, Kenneth and Mildred Miller, and her siblings, Allen Miller and Janet Shelton. Though our hearts are heavy, we rejoice in knowing she is at peace and surrounded by love.
Born on March 21, 1950, Barbara lived a life defined by compassion, service, and unwavering dedication to her family, friends, and community.
Her legacy is one of kindness, strength, and a servant’s heart. Barbara is survived by her children: son, Lyle Wigton, and daughter, Tonia Tucker, along with Tonia’s husband, Bill. She was the proud and loving grandmother of Cameron Wigton, and Liberty and Lille Tucker, and the adoring great-grandmother of Ruth and Tate. Her love for her family knew no bounds; they were her greatest joy, and she was their steady foundation.
For 34 years, Barbara served as a 911 Dispatcher and Records Specialist at the Bonney Lake Police Department, where her calm voice and compassionate presence brought comfort to countless individuals during moments of crisis. Her commitment to public service extended beyond the walls of the dispatch center.
Barbara also dedicated over two decades to helping families in need through The Giving Tree, a subsidiary of Toys for Tots. Through this program, she brought light and hope to children and families throughout the community during the holiday season and beyond. Her selflessness and ability to see the needs of others made a lasting impact on all who crossed her path.
Barbara’s life was a beautiful example of what it means to live with purpose and love unconditionally.
She was a friend to all, a shoulder to lean on, and a heart that never stopped giving. Whether through a thoughtful word, a warm smile, or tireless service, Barbara touched the lives of everyone she met.
We will miss her dearly, but her legacy lives on in the many lives she touched, the love she gave so freely, and the family and community she held so dear. In honoring her life, we carry forward the values she lived by: love, compassion, and a commitment to serve others.
Rest in peace, Barbara. Your life was a gift, and your memory will be a blessing to us all.
