Eugene “Beans” Kurfurst passed away early September 12, 2019 at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Enumclaw. Beans was born to Stanley and Blanche Kurfurst on September 26, 1929, and was a lifelong resident of Enumclaw. He worked many jobs — in the woods, auto repair, and finally the Enumclaw City Shops. Beans fixed a lot of cars, caught a lot of steelhead, and grew more vegetables than anyone knew what to do with but loved sharing them with family and friends.

He is survived by his wife of almost 69 years, Marjorie (Midge), children Kathy, Steve (Lek), Ken (Sheri), Chris (Liz), and Tina, 12 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren, and his 2 beloved kitties Kit and Squeak.

Services will be October 5th at Sacred Heart Church in Enumclaw. Rosary at 10:30 a.m.; funeral mass at 11:00 a.m.; small reception to follow in the Parish Hall.
