Eugene N. Martin (Gene), 89, of Des Moines, WA, died on December 15 at home.

Born to Milo and Dorothy Martin in Oakview Gardens, CA, he went to Orting schools after moving to Washington, graduating in 1949. He went on to earn a degree in Engineering, going to night school for 6 years while working for the Boeing Company, retiring after 37 years.

He loved golf and regularly played at Auburn and Enumclaw, serving as Senior Tournament chairman many times. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, oil painting, family vacations, watching sports, and spending time with family.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Wanita (Tracy) Martin, 2 daughters, Cathy Overton and Christy Swamy, 5 grandchildren and many friends. Services pending.
