James Rogers

James A. Rogers, 72, died May 2, 2011.

A Burien, Wash., resident, he was born Feb. 27, 1939, in Wickliffe, Ken., to Martha and Jesse Rogers. He served from 1956 to 1960 in the U.S. Air Fore as a jet engine mechanic. He loved fishing and enjoyed country music.

He is survived by children Mark Rogers and wife Johnna of Auburn, Brian Rogers and wife Tracie of Blaine, Wash., Lyndora Wilson of Enumclaw and Rennie McGurran and husband Brad of Black Diamond; sisters Alice Wright of Cedar Lake, Ind., and Ann Michau of Winamac, Ind.; 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by sister Alvina Maxberry of Indiana.

A memorial service took place Tuesday, May 10, at Tahoma National Cemetery.
