Joe Crain

Buckley resident Joe Crain, 69, died Aug. 7, 2014.

He was born Nov. 28, 1944, in Auburn, Wash., and graduated from Auburn High School in 1963. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War, retired from the Bon Marché warehouse after 32 years and also worked as a custodian for the White River School District for 10 years. He married Shirlee Newell on June 12, 1982, in Buckley. He loved family gatherings, fishing, gardening, playing cards and following the Seahawks.

He is survived by wife Shirlee Crain of Buckley; sons Jon Crain and wife Lori of Buckley, Tony Newell and wife Lori of Bonney Lake and Adam Crain and wife Sarah of Honolulu; mother Betty J. Crain of Enumclaw; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by son Thomas Crain in 2012; father Joseph Crain Sr.; and sister and brother-in-law Cheryl Sue and Joe Jensen.

Visitation was from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 12, at Weeks’ Funeral Home in Buckley. A graveside service will take place at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 13, at Buckley City Cemetery. All may sign the online guest book at www.weeksfuneralhomes.com.
