John Fitzpatrick

Enumclaw resident John A. Fitzpatrick died Dec. 20, 2012, at the age of 74.

Memorial service is noon, Jan. 5, at Hope Lutheran Church, 1316 Garfield Street Enumclaw.

He was born Aug. 27, 1938, in Scipio, Ind., to Clark and Virginia (Foist) Fitzpatrick. He married Wanda Strand in 1959 and they moved to Enumclaw in 1966. After building his own cedar home in 1974, he joined Lindal Cedar Homes in Seattle and retired as national sales manager. In retirement, he was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing from a second home in Sun City, Ariz. In Enumclaw, he was often found on his tractor or mower, doing home project, or working on car restoration projects.

He is survived by wife Wanda of Enumclaw; sons Roger Fitzpatrick and wife Candy of Port Orchard, Wash., and Randy Fitzpatrick and wife Delores of Enumclaw; daughters Dawn Reyes and husband Ellis of Mercer Island, Wash., and Devonne Wicks of Enumclaw; mother Virginia Gross of Enumclaw; brothers Larry Fitzpatrick and wife Phyllis of Enumclaw and Robert Fitzpatrick and wife Darilyn of Shelton, Wash.; sisters Nancy Volland and husband Larry of Spokane, Wash., and Gina Campbell and husband Matt of Kent, Wash.; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father.
