Judith Ann Carlson, 74, died Oct. 3, 2013, in Enumclaw.

She was born Oct. 2, 1939, in Puyallup to Melvin and Verna Johansen. She enjoyed her family, friends and especially loved shopping. She was devoted to the Tacoma Humane Society and loved her cats. She enjoyed traveling to lake Chelan during the summer.

She is survived by husband Gary Carlson of Enumclaw; daughter Cindy Pohlman and husband Paul of Enumclaw; sons Gary Carlson and wife Tammi of California, Robert Carlson and wife Laurie of Maple Valley and Don Carlson of Enumclaw; brother Tony Johansen of Santa Barbara, Calif.; and three grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the Humane Society for Tacoma and Pierce County, 2608 Center St., Tacoma, 98409.

A private service will take place at a later date.
