Karen A. Johnston, a 10-year resident of the area, died Feb. 26, 2016, in Puyallup. She was 62.

She was born Aug. 25, 1953, in Renton and was a housewife.

She is survived by husband W. Jay Johnston; sons W. Jay Jr., Jeremy and James; daughter Jessica; brother Mike Maines of Clallam Bay, Wash.; sisters Sandra Blakely of Buckley and Lynita Garker; and one grandchild.

A remembrance service took place at the Prairie Ridge Community Center.
