Louise “Jo” Baerny died Nov. 26, 2019.

She was born May 17, 1929, in Kearney, Nebraska, to Paul and Clara Wolfe. At the age of 9 her family moved to Auburn, Washington, where she attended school and graduated from Auburn High School. It was at Auburn High that Frank Baerny caught her attention. On Aug. 7, 1947, they were married in Coeur d’ Alene Idaho. They first lived on Lake Doloff and then moved to Auburn where they lived for 60-plus years and raised two children.

She was creative and loved her hobbies, especially oil painting. She also loved camping on the Tilton River and making motorhome trips to see her sister in Arizona. After her husband died in 2011, she stayed in their home until 2015 when she moved to Heritage House in Buckley where she lived until her passing.

She is survived by son Russell Baerny (Kathy); daughter Teri Anderson (Scott); sisters Dixie Bogel and Julie King; five grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

A memorial will take place at a later time.
