Lydia Athey

Lydia Marie Athey died at the age of 33.

Lydia Marie Athey unexpectedly passed away at the age of 33. She was the 4th of 6 children.

She has left a hole impossible to fill. She will be fiercely missed by her parents, boyfriend, siblings, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and friends. Lydia’s ability to play volleyball, hike, and participate in other activities we’re taken from her by a drunk driver in 2005. For the past 18 years Lydia’s endured constant pain. But that never defined Lydia. Not by her own definition or anyone else’s. What did define her was the extraordinary adventure that, anyone who knew Lydia would probably agree, was the “Te Lydia Experience.” Lydia was known for her infectious laugh with a hint of mischievousness.

Lydia Athey – You were truly one of a kind!!!! Without you, the world is now a little less extraordinary, a little less funny, a little less surprising, less sparkly, less colorful, less unpredictable… less spectacular!!!!! I hope you’re having a blast with your grandma (your twin from a different generation)!!! You will be so much more missed than you ever thought possible!! We love you!

Services will be held October 21st at 11:00 at First Baptist church. Puyallup 1219 15th St NW, Puyallup, WA 98371.
