Naomi Irons

Buckley resident Naomi Irons, 79, died May 15, 2011, in Tacoma.

She was born March 14, 1932, in Centerville, S.D., to Wallace and Florence Duncan and had lived in Buckley for many years. She enjoyed reading and playing games, but most of all loved watching her grandchildren’s activities. She was a member of her church choir.

She is survived by husband of 46 years, Les Irons of Buckley; sons Mickey Fowler of Issaquah, Wash., and Brian J. Irons and wife Dawn of Harvest, Ala.; daughters Julie Baynum and husband Jay of Apopka, Fla., and Leisa Fowler of North Bend, Wash.; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by son Dennis Fowler and brother, Johney Duncan.

A funeral service is planned for 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 18, at the Enumclaw Church of the Nazarene. Burial will be at Tahoma National Cemetery.

Arrangements are by Weeks’ Funeral Home.
