Richard J. “Dick” Corby died Sept. 20, 2012.

He was born July 13, 1933, and served 20 years in the U.S. Navy, retiring in 1971.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years Carol Corby; children Michelle L. Corby Fadem and husband Scott, Stephanie L. Corby Raines and husband Michael, Richard J. Corby III and wife Sandra, and Scott P. Corby and wife Pam Spurr; siblings Frances Corby Harvey and Patty Corby Yeith; 11 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by daughter Theresa G. McClure.

A graveside service took place Monday, Sept. 24, and internment was at Mount Tahoma National Cemetery.

The family suggests donations be made in his name to the USO.
