Robert Anderson

Robert Lee “Bob” Anderson of Enumclaw died April 27, 2011, in Federal Way at the age of 73.

He was born Aug. 17, 1937, in Buckley to Robert B. and Elizabeth G. (Whitney) Anderson. He worked at Weyerhaeuser as a logger for 20 years, and then worked for the Enumclaw School District as a custodian. He enjoyed gardening, walking and traveling. He was a great mechanic, liked tinkering with things, was an avid hunter and a lifetime National Rifle Association member. He also volunteered at the Enumclaw Food Bank.

He is survived by daughters Denise Cole and husband David of Redmond, Wash., Gwen Anderson of Pullman, Wash., and Paula Jensen of Lakewood, Colo.; stepbrother Wayne Holm and wife Marilee of Orcas Island, Wash.; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his wife Anna Mae Anderson on May 18, 2002, and brothers John Anderson and Lynn Anderson.

A visitation and Rosary are planned for 9:30 a.m. Thursday, May 5 and a funeral service will begin at 10 a.m., all at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Enumclaw. Burial will take place at Evergreen Memorial Park, Enumclaw.

Remembrances may be made to the Enumclaw-Kiwanis Food Bank, 1350 Cole St., Enumclaw.
