Ronald Brooke died Nov. 23, 2018, following a three-year bout with cancer.

He was born Nov. 1, 1937, in Rufus, Oregon, and spent his childhood on family farms in Oregon. After graduating from Hillsboro High School, he moved to Washington and went to work for Boeing. He spent 13 years working in manufacturing on aircraft ranging from the KC-135 to the SST mockup. He then transitioned to a second career in HVAC and worked for companies including Weyerhauser and Martin Selig.

In 1958 a mutual friend arranged a date with Jonie Cavanaugh of Auburn and they were married six months later, a union that lasted nearly 60 years. They had three sons, Dennis (Laurie), Scott (Donna) and Frank, and one grandson, all of whom survive him.

He was an active member in local groups including the Auburn Elks Lodge, Eagles and Thunder Trucks off-road club. He was baptized at Wabash Presbyterian Church and has been an active member since.

His celebration of life will be at Wabash Presbyterian Church in Auburn in January. To be kept informed about memorial arrangements, send a note to Dennis@DennisBrooke.com or leave a message at 253-235-3127.
