Sandra G. Van Hoof

Buckley resident Sandra G. Van Hoof, 52, died May 31, 2012.

She was born Oct. 27, 1959, in Oakland, Calif., and raised in both Florida and California. She spent many years as a long-haul driver, where she met future husband Frank Van Hoof. They were married in Enumclaw in 1990 and spent their first years trucking. She also worked for King County solid waste and for the Kettle Restaurant in Enumclaw.

She is survived by husband Frank Van Hoof of Buckley; mother Jacqueline Held and father William C. Held Jr. of Palm Harbor, Fla.; mother-in-law Dorothy Van Hoof of Enumclaw; brothers William C. Held III of Sparks, Nev., and Michael Held of Palm Harbor; stepchildren Brian Van Hoof and wife Navieve of Toledo, Wash., and Deanne (Van Hoof) Lindberg and husband Joe of Onalaska, Wash.; and several grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the Buckley Fire Department.
