Steven M. Varga Sr., a longtime resident of the Enumclaw/Auburn area, died Feb. 4, 2013. He was 77.

He was best known in the community as “Coach Varga” who volunteered most of his spare time teaching youth the skills needed to play the game of soccer.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years Marilyn; daughter Deborah Pillow; sons Steve Jr., David and Scott; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life service will take place at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 9, at St. Matthews Episcopal Church, 123 L St. N.E., in Auburn.
