Terry “Pa” Hazelton

Abbott, 76, passed away in his home in Greenwater, WA on December 6, 2024, after a short illness. He was surrounded by his children and wife.

Terry was born on October 9, 1948 in Galveston, TX to Nahum and Irene Abbott. The second of three boys, he collaborated with his brothers Dick and Bill in Issaquah,WA to create a childhood full of mischief and fun and enough stories to last his lifetime. After serving his country proudly in Vietnam, hemet and married Daryl Yassanye, and they had two children together. A mountain-man at heart, he created a home that he loved in Greenwater, WA. He spent recent years traveling to the Bahamas with friends, tinkering on projects in his shop, watching Seahawks games, spending time with his grandchildren and getting to know his “new” daughter, Justine, and her family, that he only learned about in 2021.

Survived by his wife, Daryl, daughter, Jessica Abbott of Enumclaw, WA; son Justin (Heather) Abbott of Portland, OR; daughter Justine (Eduardo) Recinos-Abbott of Sacramento, CA; grandchildren: Finley, Aiven, Tommae, Paxton, Lilly, Genevieve, and Geoffrey; great grandchildren; and many beloved friends from the Greenwater community.
