Wilma Sandin

Lifelong Buckley resident Wilma J. Sandin died Sept. 29, 2011, at the age of 91.

She worked for Boeing during the war years when women were recruited for factory jobs and later worked as a dietician at the Enumclaw hospital. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting and knitting and will be remembered for her sense of humor. She also enjoyed watching sports, reading, visiting with her grandsons and making trips to the senior center. Her final five years were spent at B’s Place.

She is survived by son Kevin Sandin and wife Deb Hollenbeck of Wilkeson; two grandsons and one great-grandchild.

A graveside service will take place at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 7, at Buckley City Cemetery.
