With a pair of losses last week, 68-56 to Auburn Mountainview at home and 74-54 to Decatur on the road, Bonney Lake’s boys basketball team dropped into the South Puget Sound League 3A basement with an 0-2 mark in league play.

The black and teal hosted the Lions Jan. 4 and were outscored 41-25 in the second half. The same thing happened a couple of days later when BLHS ventured north to tussle with a highly touted Gator crew and was buried in the second stanza. Decatur definitely found a chink in the Panther armor as it outscored Bonney Lake 42-27 in the final 16 minutes.

Panther junior forward Lawrence Williams got the consistency award for the week as he poured in 11 points in each of the Bonney Lake setbacks.
