The Bonney Lake High cross country squad traveled to the McCormick Woods Golf Course Sept. 29 to face Peninsula, losing to the Seahawk boys 19-37 and to the Seahawk girls 20-37.

Peninsula’s boys hit the trifecta as they crossed the finish line in first, second and third place. Running for Bonney Lake were Nolan Weber, Reed Hawkins, Tyler Free, Ryan McGraw and Bryant Maxey; times and placings were unavailable.

The Panther girls showed a bit better as sophomore Marie Wilson finished third with a clocking of 20 minutes, 52 seconds. She was followed by Sierra Espinal, Alise McCoy, Halley Theriault and Hope Dickson.
