BLHS SOCCER: Panthers improve to 7-0-1

The Bonney Lake Panthers wrapped up the South Puget Sound League 3A soccer championship with two victories last week. The wins improved the Panthers’ league mark to 7-0-1.

The Bonney Lake Panthers wrapped up the South Puget Sound League 3A soccer championship with two victories last week. The wins improved the Panthers’ league mark to 7-0-1.

The Panthers will close out the regular season this week before heading into postseason play. Tuesday, Bonney Lake hosted Enumclaw and in Thursday’s finale the Panthers will host the Sumner Spartans.

Last week’s action included a 3-0 victory Thursday over the last-place Lakes Lancers. Playing on their home field, the Panthers received goals from Carly Mingo, Savannah Moorehouse and Kassandra Blakely, to go with another shutout performance in goal by Rendi Johnson.

On Oct. 19, the Panthers pulled out a dramatic 1-0 victory at Auburn Mountainview. The game’s only goal came on a penalty kick by Brianna Jones.
