Bonney Lake High watched as the Hazen Highlanders scored four runs in the top of the sixth inning to claim a 6-5 win Friday in subdistrict baseball action at Auburn Mountainview High School.

Bonney Lake led 5-2 going into the sixth. They scored two runs in the first, one in the third and two more in the fifth.

The Panthers, the South Puget Sound League 3A/Seamount No. 8 seed, played Union of Vancouver Tuesday in the first-round of the West Central/Southwest District 3A tournament. No results were available at press time.

Union made the tournament with wins over Camas (6-3) and Hudson’s Day (14-1).

If Bonney Lake beat Union, the Panthers will play at 10 a.m. Saturday at Auburn Mountainview against the winner of a contest between the Western Cascade Conference’s No.1 seed and Highline. A loss to Union would force Bonney Lake to play at 4 p.m. today, Wednesday, at Kent Memorial Park in a loser-out game against the WCC No. 1-Highline loser.
