The Bonney Lake High tennis team dodged raindrops to continue their winning ways with a 4-1 victory over White River Thursday.
As the season moves into its final week, the Panther girls are prepping for tournament competition to begin and according to coach Billy Jacobsen are playing “quite well” as the postseason approaches.
Against the Hornets, No. 1 singles player Ashley Reisen played a good match, earning a solid 6-4, 6-0 victory against Morgan Wilson.
In first doubles action, Alise and Emily McCoy continued to improve, beating Haley Havelock and Courtney Hall 6-4, 7-5.
Second and third doubles teams also pulled out victories with Jessica Roller and Katie Barrie besting Heidi Lyons and Kelli Hoffman 6-4, 6-4 and Kelsey Kober and Molly Miculinich outplaying Taylor Wombacher and Katie Durrant 7-5, 6-4.
In other play, Olivia Ottinger fell to Holly Hodgson 6-2, 6-2.
The Panthers have three matches scheduled for the final week of the season and then will get ready for what they hope will be a long postseason.
“It’s amazing how fast the season has gone by,” Jacobsen said in an e-mail.
