The Bonney Lake High boys basketball team dropped two nonleague games in the Terry Fox Hoops for Hope Tournament Dec. 21 and Dec. 22 at Fife High.

In the first game, the Panthers fell to Class 2A Fife, 62-45.

Nathan Braun led Bonney Lake with a team-high 16 points and Chad Marquez added 12.

On Dec. 22, Class 4A Emerald Ridge downed Bonney Lake, 54-41, in Puyallup.

The Panthers trailed 30-26 at halftime, but the Jaguars went on an 8-1 run in the third quarter to increase their margin.

Ramsey Thoms led the Panthers with 14 points and Braun added 11.

Bonney Lake will return to South Puget Sound League 3A action Tuesday at Franklin Pierce.
