The Enumclaw Hornets took Yelm 7-2 on the first day, Friday, at the West Central District Tournament at Sprinker Recreation Center.

The Enumclaw Hornets took Yelm 7-2 on the first day, Friday, at the West Central District tournament at Sprinker Recreation Center.

The win assured the Hornets a spot in the state tournament.

Enumclaw High’s lacrosse team improved to 11-3 overall with a Thursday night victory over the visiting Sumner Spartans. The nonleague contest saw the Hornets jump on top early and coast to a 17-10 win. Success is nothing new to the the Enumclaw crew that captured a Class 2A/1A state title a season ago.
