In the $14,900 feature race—Master Builders Association of King & Snohomish Counties Spike Purse—Disruption splashed to a three-quarter-length victory over Calculated Chaos in 1:15.52 for 6 ½ furlongs.

Ridden by Julien Couton, the meet’s leading rider with 73 victories, Disruption paid $4.60, $3 and $2.80. Monique Snowden is the winning trainer for Nelson Family Racing (Heidi Nelson, Bothell, Wash.)

Sent up four-wide to take command into the stretch, Disruption out finished Calculated Chaos through the lane, edging clear late for the win.

A 5-year-old Street Boss gelding, Disruption competed in many of the track’s top races last year, including a third in the Mt. Rainier Handicap and an eighth in the Longacres Mile. His overall record is 4-3-2 in 14 starts with earnings of $89,175, including $8,195 for Friday’s triumph.

Calculated Chaos, ridden by Juan Gutierrez, held well for second and paid $3.40 and $3. The 5-year-old Notional gelding has had a banner season with three wins, two seconds and a third in seven starts.

Oldtimers Vision, with Leslie Mawing riding, rallied for third and paid $5. My Chief, Pete’s Slew, Songandabullet and Imfixintowin completed the order of finish.
