EHS beats Mountainview, loses to Peninsula | WEDNESDAY CROSS COUNTRY

This week we opened the Hornet XC season with a split result for both teams. Although we suffered losses to Peninsula on both the boys and girls sides, many of our athletes competed well and posted personal best times on our home course relative to this time last season.

General Comments (coach Tod Witzel):

This week we opened the Hornet XC season with a split result for both teams. Although we suffered losses to Peninsula on both the boys and girls sides, many of our athletes competed well and posted personal best times on our home course relative to this time last season. Both boys and girls teams were victorious against an improving AMV squad that always impresses with their sportsmanship and gritty competitiveness.

Individual HIghlights

• Samantha Engebretsen places 1st

• Hunter Storm moves into second position on our girls team with an outstanding dual meet opening effort

• Eric Hamel leads the Enumclaw boys with a sub-17-minute time and a 3rd
