EHS GIRLS GOLF: Four named to SPSL 3A All-league team

Four Enumclaw High players were named to the South Puget Sound League 3A All-league Girls Golf First Team.

Four Enumclaw High players were named to the South Puget Sound League 3A All-league Girls Golf First Team. The Hornets also has two boys make the SPSL 3A’s boys golf first team. The Lady Hornets took four of the six first-team spots.

EHS juniors Kelly Sweeney and Janie Francis and seniors Torey Schreiner and Kaylee Salsbury were named to the first team.

Teammate Caitlin Runland, a senior, was a second-team selection, along with Bonney Lake seniors Tracy Hare and Courtney Bartlett and Sumner High junior Rebecca Turcotte.

Enumclaw junior Claire Hinman and Sumner senior Danielle Durham and junior Karleigh Warner were honorable mention.

For the boys, Enumclaw senior Jordan Beals and sophomore Tyler Salsbury earned first-team honors.

Teammates, senior Jake Erickson and junior Tim Livermore, were second-team picks.

Sumner sophomore Brandon Barlow and Enumclaw sophomore Colton McCluskey were honoroable mention.

Selections are based on match stroke and point totals for the season.

Peninsula’s boys won the league with an 8-0 record. Enumclaw was right behind at 7-1. White River tied for fifth with Franklin Pierce at 3-5. Bonney Lake and Sumner tied for the league’s No. 7 spot at 2-6.

Enumclaw’s girls won their eighth-straight league title with another perfect 8-0 season. Sumner tied for the No. 2 spot with Peninsula at 6-2. At 5-3, Bonney Lake took fourth. White River captured seventh at 2-6.
