EHS GIRLS WRESTLING: Renfrow pins down title for Lady Hornets

Renfrow, an Enumclaw High junior, and teammates Logan Erskine, Danielle Cormier, Jade Paterson and Samantha Lanting will advance to Saturday’s regional tournament in Shelton where the top wrestlers will earn a spot at state.

Erskine and Paterson also wrestled in the finals Saturday. Erskine was pinned by Kiaya Van Scoyoc of Lakes at 160 pounds, while Paterson also lost by a fall to Seini Anau of Mount Tahoma at 171 pounds.

Cormier and Lanting finished fourth.

The Hornets’ Chantel Capps also competed, finishing fifth, and will serve as an alternate. Carson Seitz returned to the Hornet lineup to finish sixth.

As a team, EHS finished third behind Highline and Foss.
