The Enumclaw High girls soccer team will be looking to bounce back from a tough week that culminated with a 1-0, home-field loss Thursday to Bonney Lake. On Oct. 5, the Hornets hosted Auburn Mountainview and fell 2-0 to the Lions.

Thursday’s hard-fought game was decided in the 62nd minute when, following a scramble in front of the goal, Bonney Lake’s Savannah Moorehouse was able to poke home the game’s only goal. Panther goalkeeper Rendi Johnson was able to keep the Hornets off the board to preserve the shutout.

The loss dropped Enumclaw’s South Puget Sound League 3A record to 1-2-1 while Bonney Lake improved to 3-1-0.

The Oct. 5 loss had Moun-tainview’s Maya Wagers scoring in the 25th minute. That was it for the scoring until Sara Jennings added a bit of insurance in the game’s waning moments.
