Carel’s 2010 season statistics included 358 points, a 12.8 per game average. He also pulled down 200 rebounds, 7.1 per game, and dished out 118 assists, 4.2 per contest, while defensively coming up with 65 steals, 2.3 per game, and 26 blocked shots.

In his career at EHS, Carel scored 964 points, had 435 assists and pulled down 632 rebounds. He also blocked 81 shots and came away with 250 steals.

As impressive as the numbers are, the team accomplishments he helped achieve are greater.

During his four years on varsity, EHS had a home court record of 32-2, a career record of 85-17 and a career SPSL league record of 52-4.

EHS also won the Doc Larson Roundball Classic in 2009, placed eighth at the state 3A tournament in 2008 and was second at the state tournament in March.
