Multiple members of the Enumclaw High School equestrian team traveled to the annual Pacific North West Invitational, which also attracted two competitors from White River.
The EHS group combined to bring home honors in six events, while the White River pair each posted Top 10 finishes.
This year’s regional meet was staged June 20-22 in Redmond, Oregon.
Known as PNWIC, the regional competition features high school equestrians from Washington and Oregon gathering for end-of-season competition. Qualifying for PNWIC are the top five teams and individuals from each of the neighboring states. Currently, each state has nearly 1,000 athletes competing for these top spots.
Enumclaw’s top PNWIC finishers were: Chloe Eley, Laura Floyd, Sienna Haugen, Charlotte Hernandez, Gabriyela Hernandez, Olivia Hood, Brendan Kelly, Georgia Maxwell, Nelle McMahon, Sydney Nedrow, Teagan Schaffarzick, Angelena Sloan, Taylor Stabenfeldt and Grace Struchen, taking second place in Drill/Freestyle 6.

Brooke Hubbard, Laura Floyd, Angelena Sloan and Teagan Schaffarzick, fifth place in Team Versatility.
The trio of Laura Floyd, Sienna Haugen and Jocelynn Lowe, ninth place in working pairs.
White River: A pair of Washington champions, Kaylin Vrieze and Daniel Moriarty, had earned their trip to PNWIC during the state meet in Moses Lake.
In Redmond, Vrieze placed fourth in Driving. It marked the fourth year she has advanced to PNWIC. Moriarty had a Top 10 showing in Working Rancher.
