The Panthers got their season started on the right foot Thursday, blasting Yelm 6-1 including two goals and an assist from Brody Fitzsimmons.

Fitzsimmons opened the scoring for the Panther with a goal in the 24th minute off an assist from Tyler John. In the 39th minute, Christian Rodriguez took a pass from Fitzsimmons and opened up a 2-0 lead.

Yelm got its only goal in the 47th minute before John netted one of his own in the 53rd minute, followed by another quick goal from Brian Grob.

In the 68th minute, Fitzsimmons got his second, unassisted and then Dalton Ogdon got the final score for the Panther sin the 79th minute.

In Friday’s game, rescheduled from March 13, John picked up the only Bonney Lake goal off in the 79th minute off an assist from Rodriguez, but it was too late after Wilson dropped in two in the 52nd and 59th minute of play.

The Panthers were scheduled to travel to Ballard Monday.
