Golf tournament raises money for local Special Olympics, EHS sports

More than $10,000 raised to be split among Enumclaw High golf, basketball, and Enumclaw Special Olympics golf teams

Golfers grabbed their clubs and headed to the Enumclaw Golf Course for a round of golf at the first and definitely not the last Enumclaw Community Golf Fundraiser on Sunday, Sept. 10.

Golf Coach Ryan Picinich and Tyler Salsbury started this fun tournament to support the Enumclaw Community sports teams. All donations, which totaled more than $10,000, went to the EHS Golf teams, Enumclaw Special Olympics Golf and the EHS Basketball teams.

Local families, business and Special Olympics Athletes teams took the course for great prizes, driving for the longest drive, closest to the pin and more. Included was an auction table and raffle. The tournament winners this year scored 55, an amazing 15 under par for the Enumclaw Golf Course.

Next year’s tournament is expected to be scheduled at the end of summer; sign up early to reserve your spot.

We could not have done it without the support from the following sponsors and volunteers: Enumclaw Country Financial, Clean Hydrovac, Weeks Funeral Homes, Acting Out His Word, Inc Inc., Cyber Security, Edward Jones, TNT Espresso, Stadium Blankets, Tony Binetti, Tyler Salsbury, EHS Golf Class 2012, Caliber Home Loans, WA Custom Concrete, Fugate Ford, Friendship Adventures, Andrea & Mary Weymiller, EHS staff and more.
