Have’n a Wild Time collared Lonely and Free in the final strides for a neck victory Thursday in the Ashbaugh Beal Claiming Challenge Qualifying Event for older fillies and mares at Emerald Downs.

With apprentice Eliska Kubinova riding her third of four winners on the card, Have’n a Wild Time ran one mile in 1:37.27 and paid $15, $8 and $3.80. Bonifacio Rayas is the trainer for owners Julie Nakahara and Matt Pilot.

Lonely and Free, ridden by Rocco Bowen, nearly led gate-to-wire but was tagged in the final strides. Lonely and Free paid $6.60 and $4.60.

A. Lurie Girl, with Juan Gutierrez riding, rallied for third and paid $3.60.
