Little League all-stars earn title

Playing in the recent 16U Senior Division Little League championship game at Brannan Park in Auburn, the Chinook/Kent All-Stars blanked the Stilley Valley All-Stars from the Arlington area 10-0 in five innings to clinch the state title in their division.

Playing in the recent 16U Senior Division Little League championship game at Brannan Park in Auburn, the Chinook/Kent All-Stars blanked the Stilley Valley All-Stars from the Arlington area 10-0 in five innings to clinch the state title in their division.

The C/K All-Star squad, which was sporting a 7-1 mark heading into the tournament, is made up of players from Enumclaw and Kent. On the roster from Enumclaw are John Benson, David Prince, Garrett Robertson, Colby Thompson, Michael Hanek and Danny Fabris. The team is headed by manager Kirk Davis and assistant coaches Jeff Fabris and Tim Mazzitelli.

This week, the team is in Ontario, Calif., for the Little League Western Regionals.
