The Bonney Lake gymnastics team jumped back into action with two meets following several weeks off due to the winter weather and holiday vacation.

The Panthers hosted Puyallup and Federal Way Jan. 14. Puyallup won the meet and Bonney Lake finished third.

Scores were not available, but coach Kathleen Kirkpatrick said Kelli Hoffman had a strong bar routine and Sarah Skinner excelled in the vault event.

Due to a shoulder injury, Kelsi Potterf only competed on the beam. The coach hopes Potterf will be able to compete on the floor this week. Kirkpatrick said it may be two weeks before she can return to the vault and uneven bars.

Bonney Lake finished third Jan. 12 at Auburn High. Bonney Lake was competing against the Trojans, Thomas Jefferson and Rogers High.
