Lindsay Bowden’s first-place finish in the 100-yard backstroke lifted the Enumclaw High Hornets ahead of Sumner by five points. Bella Davenport’s first-place finish in the 100 breaststroke kept them ahead and the Hornets’ first- and third-place finish in the 400 freestyle relay sealed the deal during a 99-84 win over Sumner Thursday in the Spartan’s home water.
The undefeated Hornets also topped South Puget Sound League 3A rival Bonney Lake 135-44 in the same pool Sept. 29.
Enumclaw travels to North Thurston Thursday for a nonleague meet and finishes the regular season, and perhaps secures another league title, at 3:30 p.m. Oct. 15 against Auburn Mountainview.
