SLIDESHOW: Enumclaw wrestlers fourth at Sumner Invite

Saturday, while Enumclaw High's varsity wrestling team was taking the crown at the White River Classic wrestling tournament, the junior varsity Hornets were down the hill at the Sumner Invite eight-team varsity tournament, where they finished fourth. Enumclaw topped 4A Kent-Meridian 42-30 during the opening round and posted a 36-30 victory over 2A Klahowya, which was third in state last year, a in Round 2. The Hornets ran into host Sumner next, dropping a 42-24 match to the Spartans. The Hornets dropped the next two matches with identical 48-31 scores to 6A Westview, Ore., and 2A Steilacoom to finish fourth.
