Raiders beat up on Wolverines

The Wolverine Pee Wee’s fell 48-19 to the Maple Valley Raiders with touchdowns by Ethan McElderry, Tristan Knaus and Quinten Boggan.

The Wolverine Midget’s fell to the Raiders. Jordan Misensol had a touchdown and a hook-and-ladder play enabled Austin Gregg to score an 88-yard touchdown assisted by a great block by Christian Armstrong.

The 89ers fell to the Raiders. Jesse Gregg was red hot defensively with four touchdown-saving tackles.

The Sweet Peas also fell to the Maple Valley Raiders.

The Wolverine Bantams had some awesome plays including an Adam Rhodes interception. Justin Peterson recovered a fumbled kickoff by Maple Valley and in the fourth quarter Brennen Lingberg sacked the quarterback.

Tristan Knaus scored a TD at the end of the first quarter to get the Wolverines on the scoreboard. Quentin Boggan had a great TD in the third quarter, shaking several Raiders before making it to the end zone. Ethan McElderry scored a TD in the final quarter with Quentin Boggan running it in for the extra point. Ethan McElderry, Tristan Knaus, Brandon Fox, Raul Leos, Ryan Richey, Zach Glebe and Shane Nelson made valiant efforts defensively to stop the Raiders.

Olney captures club golf title

The Enumclaw Ladies Club hosted its annual club championship Sept. 25 and 26 at the Enumclaw Golf Course.

Ruth Ann Olney took honors as club champion with the low gross of the field score of 171.

First flight winners were: low gross, Dixie Jameyson; low net, Gladys Hill.

Second flight winners were: low gross, Mary Kell; low net, Beth Hansen.

Other participants were Linda Hiffman, Charlotte Dolezal, Sharon Lovinger, Joni Chenaur, Kathy Olson, Lisa Sigurdson and Sharon Swift.
