The Sumner Spartans lost to Fife Thursday, May 2, at Osborne Field in the second game of the subdistrict tournament.

The Spartans plays Orting today, Friday, May 3, at 4 p.m. at Osborne for the third of fourth seed to the district tournament.

Enumclaw High’s lacrosse team improved to 11-3 overall with a Thursday night victory over the visiting Sumner Spartans. The nonleague contest saw the Hornets jump on top early and coast to a 17-10 win. Success is nothing new to the the Enumclaw crew that captured a Class 2A/1A state title a season ago.
