WHITE RIVER AND ENUMCLAW TRACK: Several advance to track districts

White River and Enumclaw high track and field athletes represented themselves well Thursday and Saturday, competing in the subdistrict meet at Sunset Chev Stadium in Sumner.

White River and Enumclaw high track and field athletes represented themselves well Thursday and Saturday, competing in the subdistrict meet at Sunset Chev Stadium in Sumner.

The meet brought together teams from both the South Puget Sound League 3A and Western Cascade Conference. All were looking to advance to Friday’s West Central District meet at Mount Tahoma High in Tacoma. The top six subdistrict finishers in each event earned the right to compete Friday in Tacoma.

Advancing from the White River girls team were:

First place: Carley McCutchen, 300-meter hurdles, 44.97. Second place: Lauryn Wate, 800 meters, 2:22.34. McCutchen, 100-meter hurdles, 15.41. Third place: Wate, 1,600 meters, 5:15.07. 800-meter relay team of Alysa Aashiem, Jessica Lindner, McCutchen and Maggie Williams, 1:47.62. Fifth place: Cassidy France, 200 meters, 13.11. Sixth place: Aashiem, javelin, 103-02.

Advancing from the White River boys team were:

First place, Marcus Dickson, 1,600 meters, 4:19.17. Austin Shirey, pole vault, 13-7. 1,600-meter relay team of Collin Green, Kramer Green, Marcus Dickson and Josh Miller, 3:23.39. Third place: Collin Green, 400 meters, 50.50. Fourth place: Mat Dickson, 800 meters, 1:57.93. Kramer Green, 300-meter hurdles, 40.99. Fifth place: Kramer Green, 110-meter hurdles, 16.29. Michael Madden, 300-meter hurdles, 41.55. Todd Paine-Walsh, javelin, 156-08.

EHS girls advancing were:

Second place: Stephanie Schreiner, 400 meters, 58.65 seconds, and triple jump, 34 feet, 8.75 inches. AnnaMarie Forza, javelin, 115-7. Third place: Carissa Gwerder, 800 meters, 2:23.82. Fourth place: Stephanie Schreiner, 200 meters, 25.83. Sherry Baer, pole vault, 8-0. Fifth place: Emily Eilertson, 800 meters, 2:24.90. 1,600-meter relay team of Gwerder, Eilertson, Angela Lindsey and Amber Cox, 4:16.75. Sixth place: 800-meter relay team of Alysa Bailey, Forza, Cox and Lindsey, 1:49.09.

EHS boys advancing were:

Second place: Braden Timpe, 800 meters, 1:59.01. Joe Cerne, javelin, 173-0. Fifth place: Jordan Grant, discus, 136-11. 1,600-meter relay team of Larry Calvert, Robby Johnson, Timpe and Cory Johnson, 3:31.54.

Sixth place: Calvert, 800 meters, 2:00.57.
