White River beats Orting | Football state tournament

The White River Hornets beat Orting 27-14 in a rain soaked game in Orting.

White River beat Orting in the first round of the state tournament Friday in Orting.

The White River Hornets beat Orting 27-14 in a rain soaked game in Orting.

The Hornets jumped out to a 14-0 lead by the first quarter and added a field goal in the second period.

Enumclaw High’s lacrosse team improved to 11-3 overall with a Thursday night victory over the visiting Sumner Spartans. The nonleague contest saw the Hornets jump on top early and coast to a 17-10 win. Success is nothing new to the the Enumclaw crew that captured a Class 2A/1A state title a season ago.
