Bonney Lake resident Mason White, a 12-year-old honor student who will attend Lakeridge Middle School this fall, competed in the Hershey, Pa., Track and Field Junior Nationals Aug. 6 and claimed a third-place bronze medal in the 400-meter dash.

It was White’s third consecutive year competing at the elite Hershey event and he sprinted the 400 meters in 1 minute, 1.45 seconds.
