White River High boys tennis coach Jason Swaser hasn’t seen so many bodies on the court in his years with the program.

Although time on the six courts is at a premium, he plans to keep them all.

Not all the Hornets are young and new to the program. Three-year returning senior Michael Baron, and returning seniors Noah Geehan and Hayden Speyer are expected to step up right away. Returning sophomores Josh Mills and Tanner Williams are also expected to make an impact from the get-go.

With the jump to the South Puget Sound League 2A this fall, the Hornets will face each of the seven teams twice, with barely six weeks to postseason.

The Hornets leap in with league play beginning today, Wednesday, when Clover Park comes to town and continuing Friday at Sumner and Monday at Franklin Pierce.
